Goxines are a closed species I made about awhile back that I had dormant, but I want to try and bring them back !

I'm revamping their information because it could be stronger, so for now it'll be a little empty here.

General Information :

Goxines missing bits vary from each individual Goxine; these bits release a gas that are to help shroud the Goxine while hunting for prey. The gas does release an intoxicating scent that lures in prey. It is only considered toxic gas if inhaled too much (i.e. being released in an enclosed area, like a building), otherwise the most effect it’ll have is light dizziness.

All Goxines when born start off with no symbols on their hands, however it develops within a year in a way to connect them to their master. Each one has a unique symbol, similar to finger prints, none are the same. Their Master normally shares a symbol themselves and let off a unique scent that only its destined Goxine can sniff out. The master symbol can be located anywhere, can exterior or interior, however the Goxine symbol will ALWAYS be on their hands.

Goxines the fail to develop a symbol are considered untamed and highly dangerous. They’re extremely aggressive and will attack anything in sight. After the year wait, if a Goxine does not form a symbol, they will begin to show signs of aggression within the group. They are to be put down immediately, there’s no saving them. However, untamed Goxines are extremely rare.

Ribcage function is being revamped due to it being related to the Lore.

Goxines are normally gifted a set of earrings (can be any type : gages, tapers, etc.) after a month together with their Master as a sign of appreciation and seemed to be a Goxine’s favourite accessory after researching their hoarding habits. They’re scavengers and enjoy hoarding little knick-knacks that they tend to find. They take “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” quite literally. Some will cherish a thumb pin, or think screws are just really neat and will keep them and show them off to their group or master with pure excitement.

Goxines lifespan is connected to their masters. A Goxine will die with her master, however, if the Master has any offspring the Goxine will serve them. If the Master has no offspring, the Goxine will start to become ill and pass away due to rebranding of a Goxine being impossible. It also goes hand in hand with their symbols being unique and unlike others which in term connect them to their master in the first place.

Goxines have no reproductive organs and all seem to imitate female anatomy, thus for new Goxines to be born, a pair will mix their gasses together to create a new scent that will harvest a new Goxine. Goxines will start from the formed gas and develop until it’s able to harvest the gas for itself. Goxines do have exhilarated growth, it takes a year for them to fully grow, which gives them time to mature enough for their symbol to appear.

Goxines are also really tall ! The shortest recorded Goxine is 6ft and the tallest being 9ft. It is extremely rare for a Goxine to fall beneath 6ft for a matured Goxine.

Environment :

Goxines are located all over the world. Their skin tones adapt to their area to make hunting easier for them. If the Goxine has cooler colours for a skin tone, they’re usually found in colder areas such as tundras. Whereas Goxines with warmer tones will be found in more warmer areas like desserts, forests, etc. Their skin tone allows them to blend in with their environment to increase the likelihood of a successful hunt.
